About Me
Hola! I am Alba (Noc) and I'm a multidisciplinary artist
based in the Napa Valley.
My art reflects my daily life and emotions into vibrant, evocative works of art.
With a dynamic approach that blends acrylics, watercolors, photography and music, I try to create art that reflects my inner world. My paintings pulse with color and energy, while my photographs capture the beauty of nature. Each piece is a snapshot of my emotional journey, inviting viewers to connect with my own experiences.
I was born and raised in San Miguel de Allende, a gorgeous town in central México surrounded by amazing art and architectural buildings in the colonial style.
Growing up in San Miguel has not only influenced me to be a multidisciplinary artist, but also to appreciate the beauty in the everyday.
I went to the university in California to study as a professional singer, completing my bachelors in music, and several pedagogical credentials such as choral conducting, Spanish, and the Career Technical Education.
Currently, I am a choir director since 2012 in north California where I have the pleasure to teach singing, piano, music composition, vocal literature from around the world, and mentor students from grades 6-12. My choirs have participated at choral festivals in Seattle, Los Angeles, Hawaii, and at Carnegie Hall in New York.
I found myself turning to drawings, paintings, embroidery, and captivating moments of my life in pictures to help with stress levels.
In 2020, I found the strength and confidence and started focusing exclusively in watercolors, acrylics, and gouache. My artistic process is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from the world around me – the laughter of loved ones, the beauty of nature, the unconditional love of my two bulldogs, the quiet moments of solitude, and the ever-changing tides of my own emotions.
My art is both a cathartic release and a celebration of life's beauty. Through my art, I seek to create a sense of connection and community, reminding us that even in our differences, we are united by our shared human experience. I try to show in my work a testament to the transformative power of art, inviting us to embrace our emotions, and to find beauty in every moment.
